2010 SA Junior Heifer Expo

We had 4 heifers and 1 steer at the recent SA Junior Heifer Expo. Sarah , Bella, Hettie, their cousin Sophie and Clay McArthur who manages Ravensdale Poll Herefords near Gosford NSW exhibited them.

They all had alot of fun, learn't heaps, made new friends and caught up with old friends. There were over 180 entrants at the 4 day event with entrants from 8-23 years kept busy with industry and general skill development lectures for one and half days, before heifer and handler showing.

Our crew picked up a first, fourth and fifth in the heifer judging with the first placed heifer Days Daisy Lass E6 also gaining Reserve Senior Champion. Our steer who will be shown in Adelaide was the heaviest steer on the grounds. Sarah, Bella and Hettie were all placed in their handlers class in the sub-intermediate section to cap off four great days of fun and learning.
